Milwaukee Bucks talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo has impressed one and all with his impressive performance. The Greek Freak has certainly shown the skills to go a long way in his career. The 26-year old has had a successful career thus far and has done a fine job in the eight seasons he has played in the NBA.
Giannis has proved his mettle on various occasions and he has already won many awards in his career. He has won NBA player from MVPs, Defense Player of the Year, and Most Improved Player of the Year. Moreover, he has five NBA All-Star appearances and five-time All-NBA awards.
He won his first NBA championship in the previous season and was also awarded the MVP in the last edition.
Former NBA player Richard Jefferson reckons Antetokounmpo’s greatness will be judged on the number of NBA rings he wins in his career. Jefferson added that the Greek Freak is in the same league as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and Magic Johnson.
Jefferson said on ESPN, “This is the unfairness of greatness… He [Giannis Antetokounmpo] will be judged on this day forward on how many championships he wins. That’s it. Very similar to LeBron James, and Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson. He is one of the greats, and he will continue to be one of the greats.”
There is no doubt that Antetokounmpo has got the skills to win more NBA Championships but he will need support from players like Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday.
Milwaukee Bucks have got off to a decent start as they have a 10-8 record and they have won their last four matches. Out of the team’s 18 matches, Antetokounmpo has top-scored in 14 games (he has played 17 matches). The 26-year old is averaging 26.9 ppg in the ongoing season and he has been in prolific form.
