Brooklyn Nets talisman James Harden has been at his best since he has made the move from Houston Rockets. Harden has been instrumental in the success of the Nets and he has played a key role along with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. The linchpin has played an important role in setting up the ball for both of his teammates.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Nets continued their sublime form as they won their seventh match on the bounce and they are placed in second place in Eastern Conference as they have a 21-12 record. The Nets defeated Sacramento Kings by 127-118 on Wednesday with James Harden top-scoring for the team in points, rebounds, and assists.
The Beard scored 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists and also scored five three-pointers. In fact, this is the fourth consecutive match in which Harden has top-scored for the Nets.
In fact, Kevin Durant had missed the game but Harden was able to fill in the big shoes of his teammate and delivered the goods. This is Harden’s sixth triple-double of the season for the Nets in the 18 matches he has played.
Harden has just started playing for the Brooklyn Nets and he is already making some elite records for the team. The 31-year now has the second most triple-double in Brooklyn Nets’ history after Jason Kidd, who played 506 matches (seven seasons) and scored 61 triple-doubles for the team.
Thus, if James keeps going at the same rate, he should leapfrog Kidd’s record in only 165 matches and he will be able to do that in 2022-23 season if the Nets extend their contract with him. So it will be interesting to note if Harden can keep the same consistency in the coming matches for the Nets.
Brooklyn Nets will next take on Orlando Magic on Friday.
