The LA Lakers star LeBron James is one of the best players in the NBA right now. At the age of 35, James played his 17th NBA season and he was still going strong. The King also took the Lakers to their 17th NBA title. This was the fourth NBA championship for James and he was awarded the MVP in the NBA finals for the fourth time.
James made new records and broke the old ones for fun in the recently concluded season. The champion was at his best in the regular season and switched on the beast mode in the postseason.
Bron played an instrumental role in taking the Lakers to glory and he continued his legacy in the NBA. When NBA agents were asked about the best player in the NBA right now, not many could ignore the star player.
The Athletic asked a group of agents and most of them came up with a common answer.
One agent said, “How can you not say LeBron? I’m not a LeBron fan, but you can’t deny his greatness.”
Another one said, “It’s hard to say anyone but LeBron right now. Before the playoffs, I would’ve told you Giannis (Antetokounmpo), but I have to go with LeBron.”
On the other hand, James has proved that age is just a number as he is going strong at 35. James has always paid special importance to fitness from the early stages of his career and he is reaping the fruits for the same.
One more agent opined, “He’s great. He’s phenomenal. To be able to perform at that high a level is phenomenal. Not calling him the GOAT in the conversation. That’s a two-man race.”
Another agent said: “At his age, he’s still the best player in the NBA. Like or dislike him, he’s an unstoppable force both on and off the court.”
There is no doubt that James has written his name alongside the greats of the game after taking the LA Lakers to the championship. James will look to continue the good show and he will try to replicate the same performance in the next season.
