Nets’ Kevin Durant joins Kobe Bryant and LeBron James after another solid performance against Bucks

Brooklyn Nets are looking all set to go all the way in the ongoing NBA season. The Nets had finished the regular season at the second place in the Eastern Conference with a 48-24 record. The Nets have continued their good form in the postseason as well.

The Nets defeated the Boston Celtics comfortably by 4-1 in the first conference round. Subsequently, they are dominating the Milwaukee Bucks as they have taken a 2-0 lead in the Eastern conference semifinals.

In fact, the Nets were without the services of their talisman James Harden, who was ruled out with a hamstring injury. However, Kevin Durant was once again able to step up his game and he also received the support from Kyrie Irving, who chipped in with 22 points. Furthermore, Joe Harris and Bruce Brown Jr. also scored in the double digits.

Durant top-scored with 32 points as the Nets mauled the Bucks by 125-86 on Monday night. Furthermore, he provided six assists to have a perfect game. The Nets were able to hit the ground running in the first half and Durant scored 21 points.

As per ESPN stats info, “The Nets were utterly dominant in the first half — led by Kevin Durant’s 21 points. It is the 53rd time Durant has had 20+ points in a playoff half. Over the last 25 postseasons, the only players to do that more: LeBron James (96) and Kobe Bryant (69).”

Meanwhile, the Nets had convincingly defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by 115-107 in the opening game of the semifinals as Durant had scored 29 points to help his team draw first blood in the series.

The third game of the series will be played on Thursday night.
