The Phoenix Suns are on a roll in the ongoing NBA playoff season after finishing second in the Western Conference standings with a 51-21 record. The Suns have qualified in the postseason after almost a decade and they are looking good to go all the way in this season. The Suns were able to knock out the defending champions, the LA Lakers as they won the first conference round by 4-2.
Subsequently, they absolutely thrashed the Denver Nuggets – who had finished at the third place in the standing – in Western Conference semifinals by 4-0. It was utter dominance from the Phoenix Suns as their top players like Devin Booker, Chris Paul have played at the top of their game.
Paul has made a comeback after injury and his leadership and experience has played a key role in Suns’ success in this season.
The 36-year old has all the experience under his belt and he is making the most of it by helping his team. Paul scored a whopping 37 points against the Denver Nuggets in the fourth match of the Western Conference semifinals as they won by 125-118 on Sunday night. Furthermore, the veteran contributed with seven assists.
Paul scored his points with 70% shooting and he has registered his name in the history books. Paul became the oldest player to record 35+ points on 70% shooting in the postseason for the first time since 1965.
