Australia vs India 2024, 1st Test – Stats Preview

Australia will lock horns against India in the opening Test at Optus Stadium, Perth from Friday onwards. India has won the last two Test series against Australia while playing away and they will look to replicate the same show against the hosts.

But India recently suffered a 0-3 Test series loss against New Zealand despite playing at home and the Indian batters are under the pump as they could not deliver the goods.

On the other hand, Australia will look to end their hoodoo against India as they haven’t won a Test series against the arch-rivals in the last decade.

Yashasvi Jaiswal needs 93 runs to complete the 1500-run mark in Test cricket. 

Ravichandran Ashwin needs 26 runs to reach the 3500-run mark in the red-ball version.

KL Rahul needs 19 runs to complete 3000 runs in the Test format.

Rishabh Pant needs three fours to complete 300 boundaries in the multiday format.

Travis Head will play his 50th Test match for Australia.

Usman Khawaja needs 49 runs to complete 5500 runs in Test cricket and needs eight fours to complete 600 boundaries.
