Bangladesh will take on India in the second Test match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka from Thursday. India had drawn first blood in the series after winning the first game by a huge margin of 188 runs. The Indian bowlers had to work hard in the second innings of the Test match as the Tigers were able to show resistance.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh batters could not show any gumption in the first innings and they will look to pull up their socks. No batter had even gone past the 30-run mark as they were bundled for a paltry score of 150 runs, thus giving a huge lead of 254 runs to the opposition.
Debutant Zakir Hasan scored a fine century in the second innings and it was definitely a positive for the team. However, Bangladesh would want to come up with a collective effort with both bat and ball.
Meanwhile, Indian spinners had done a brilliant job for the team. Kuldeep Yadav scalped eight wickets across both innings whereas Axar Patel snared five wickets in the Test match.
Furthermore, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Kuldeep Yadav all contributed with the bat to put their team in front.
Rohit Sharma will miss the second Test due to a thumb injury and KL Rahul will continue to lead the team in his absence. Ergo, India is expected to play with the same playing XI.
Match Prediction: There is denying the fact India will enter the contest as favorites against Bangladesh.
