Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has hailed Tilak Varma for making a dream start to his T20I career. Varma has returned with scores of 39, 51, and 49* in his first three T20I innings for the Indian team while playing against the West Indies in the ongoing series.

Furthermore, Varma has taken to International career like fish to water and he has done a fine job so far in his young career. Sharma said Varma has shown all the maturity despite being only 20-year and three T20I matches old.
Speaking to PTI, Rohit Sharma said: “Tilak Varma is so talented – he got the hunger, that is the most important thing, he is so mature and whenever I talk with him – you get the feel that he knows when he wants to hit & what he wants to do.”
On the other hand, former Indian chief selector MSK Prasad also showered praise on Tilak Varma for doing a fine job for the team and feels he can be considered for the ODI World Cup.
He said while speaking to the PTI: “Tilak Varma is so talented – he got the hunger, that is the most important thing, he is so matured and whenever I talk with him – you get the feel that he knows when he wants to hit & what he wants to do.”
He continued: “If you see his domestic cricket also, it’s close to 55 or 60, his average in the one-day format. He has got a pretty bright chance to get into the squad if Shreyas Iyer is found unfit.”
Varma has scored 1236 runs in 25 List A matches at an impressive average of 56.18 with the help of five centuries and as many fifties while playing for Hyderabad.
