Sunrisers Hyderabad will square off against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 25th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Friday.
KKR have won three out of their five matches whereas SRH has managed two wins in four games.
SRH got off to a poor start as they lost their opening two matches however the Orange Army bounced back stronger to win their next two games. The Kane Williamson-led team has come up with a more collective effort and they have reaped rewards for the same. Kane Williamson had scored a fine fifty against Gujarat Titans in the previous season while Nicholas Pooran had added the finishing touches.
However, SRH has suffered a huge blow as their all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out for a couple of matches due to a hand injury. Furthermore, Rahul Tripathi had also suffered an injury while batting in the previous game and his participation could also be doubtful.
On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders lost their previous match against Delhi Capitals by a huge margin of 44 runs and they will look to get back to winning ways. Except for Sunil Narine, all the KKR bowlers had taken a hammering against DC and they will need to come up with a better bowling show as they conceded 215 runs.
Furthermore, Ajinkya Rahane needs to be more consistent at the top of the order for KKR as he isn’t providing good starts. Moreover, Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana have failed to deliver the goods.
Match Prediction: Kolkata Knight Riders will enter the contest as favorites against Sunrisers Hyderabad given their team’s balance.
