Delhi Capitals will lock horns against Chennai Super Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi in the 67th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 on Saturday in a day game. Delhi Capitals are already knocked out of the ongoing season but they can spoil the party for CSK.
It will be a must-win match for the MS Dhoni-led team and they will be looking to bring their best to the table. CSK lost their previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders after an ordinary batting performance and they will be looking to turn the tables against DC.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals had put up a dominant batting performance in their last game against Punjab Kings. Rilee Rossouw finally showed his class as he blasted 82 runs from 37 balls whereas Prithvi Shaw also scored a crucial fifty to get back into form. Moreover, David Warner scored a decent knock of 46 runs before their bowlers restricted PBKS to under 200.
Delhi batters had enjoyed batting on a true pitch in Dharamsala but they will return to their home venue, which hasn’t provided a great T20 pitch so far.
Meanwhile, CSK could only manage 144 runs in their previous match against KKR and they will want their batters to do a good job. In fact, it could be MS Dhoni’s swansong in the IPL but the team’s CEO Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed that the veteran will play next year.
Match Prediction: Chennai Super Kings will enter the contest as favorites against Delhi Capitals.
