IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings, Final – Dafanews Match Preview

The reigning champions Gujarat Titans will lock horns against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad in the IPL 2023 final on Sunday. There is no doubt that these two teams have been the best sides of the IPL and they will be looking to grab the big prize on offer.

CSK bested GT by 15 runs in the first qualifier and they will be looking to replicate the same show whereas the latter would want to make a comeback to defend their title. We look at the current form, head-to-head, players to look out for, and squads of both teams in our match preview.

CSK have come up with a collective show and they will be looking to deliver in the all-important final. The batters and spinners have done a magnificent job for them and Matheesha Pathirana has also played a key role in the death overs. As always, MS Dhoni has been spot-on as a leader.

Shubman Gill played a knock for the ages against Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier as struck a majestic 129. Gill will once again hold the key for GT in the all-important final as he has been in terrific form, especially while playing at home. GT has ticked the right boxes and they will be looking to come up with a good show in the final.

GT has won three matches against CSK while the latter has won only one.

 

Players to watch out for: Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, and Mohammed Shami are going to hold the key for GT.

Devon Conway, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, and Deepak Chahar will be the key players for CSK.
