The inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals will face Punjab Kings in the eighth match of the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Wednesday. Both of these teams had gotten off to a winning starts and they will look to carry the same momentum.
RR had won their opening match against Sunrisers Hyderabad by a huge margin of 72 runs after their top-order of Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sanju Samson had fired at all cylinders.
Furthermore, Yuzvendra Chahal was right on the money as he had scalped four wickets against the Orange Army.
On the other hand, Punjab Kings had also beaten Kolkata Knight Riders by seven runs (DLS method). PBKS batters had taken an aggressive approach in the opening game, especially Bhanuka Rajapaksa and they will look to continue the good show against Rajasthan Royals.
Moreover, Arshdeep Singh had scalped three wickets and he made most of the short-pitch deliveries as all of his three dismissals came off bumpers.
