Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 36th match of the season at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Wednesday. When these two teams had met earlier in the season, KKR had thrashed RCB by a huge margin of 81 runs at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Meanwhile, RCB won their previous match against Rajasthan Royals by seven runs while playing at home. Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell were brilliant for the Bengaluru-based franchise as they batted at their absolute best. The pair had added 127 runs off just 67 balls with Maxwell scoring 77 and Faf contributing 62.
Moreover, RCB stand-in skipper Virat Kohli had confirmed that Josh Hazlewood will be fit to play against KKR and the Australian will definitely strengthen the team’s bowling attack.
On the other hand, KKR lost their last game against Chennai Super Kings by a huge margin of 49 runs. The KKR bowlers conceded 235 runs against CSK and they will be looking to come up with an improved bowling performance against RCB on a batting paradise at Chinnaswamy.
Match Prediction: RCB will enter the contest as slight favorites against KKR.
