Chennai Super Kings will square off against Rajasthan Royals in the 61st match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Sunday in a day game. While RR has registered eight wins in 11 games, CSK has won six out of their 11 matches.
CSK won a much-needed game against Punjab Kings as they got over the line by 28 runs. The defending champions could only manage 167 runs on the board but their bowlers did a good job in restricting the opposition to 139. Ravindra Jadeja came up with an all-round performance, scoring 43 off 26 balls and returning with impressive figures of 3-20 in his quota of four overs.
It will be crucial for CSK to maintain the winning impetus and confirm their playoff berth.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have lost their last two previous matches and they would like to get back to winning ways against the reigning champions. RR will want to buckle up with the ball as they conceded a huge total of 221 runs against DC. Sanju Samson has been leading from the front and he will want his team to keep coming up with a collective effort.
Samson has amassed 471 runs in 11 matches at an average of 67.29 and a strike rate of 163.54 and he has played a key role in the success of his team.
Match Prediction: Rajasthan Royals will enter the contest as favorites against Chennai Super Kings.
