Multan Sultans opening batter Shan Masood has said that he has to try to keep giving his best in the upcoming matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League.
Masood scored a fine knock of 68 runs off just 49 balls in the 16th match of the tournament against Peshawar Zalmi at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Thursday.
In fact, Masood has been getting off to decent starts in the ongoing tourney and finally, he was able to put a decent score. Masood’s knock of 68 runs helped his team in posting a par score of 182 runs.
The left-hander is currently the second-highest run-getter of the tournament as he has amassed 343 runs in six matches at an impressive average of 57.17 and a blistering strike rate of 148.48.
Masood stated it is an honor for him to play for Pakistan and he was looking to take one ball at a time.
The southpaw was awarded the Player of the match for his fine knock. He said in the post-match presentation, “It’s an honour to play for Pakistan, I have to keep giving my best. Need to stick to the basics and process. I’m trying to see the ball and react to it. Taking one ball at a time, sometimes it works – sometimes it doesn’t. It looked like a belter initially, but there was pace and bounce later. We were targetting something around 180, I think we got a decent total as our bowlers defended it later”.
On the other hand, Multan Sultans lanky fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani bowled a fine spell as he returned with impressive figures of 3-18 in his quota of four overs to help the team skittle out the opposition at 140. The pacer from Zimbabwe was delighted with his performance.
He said after the game, “It’s always good to keep it easy and hit your length. Really happy that I got some wickets. It’s an advantage that I am tall (6’8) – can always get that extra bounce. The guys are really positive, hoping to win every game”.
Multan Sultans will next face Lahore Qalandars at the same venue on Friday.
