After 30 matches, the top two teams of PSL 2023 – Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans – will take on each other in the first qualifier at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Wednesday. Both of these teams will want to bring their best in the crucial match and confirm their berth in the final.
When these two teams had met earlier in the season, Lahore Qalandars won both matches. The Shaheen Shah Afridi-led team won the first contest by one run in a thrilling way whereas they won the second game by 21 runs.
Setting up a target and defending it successfully has been Lahore Qalandars’ mantra in the ongoing season and they would want to come up with a collective show after losing their last league stage match against Karachi Kings by 86 runs.
The Qalandars were the best team in the league stage with seven wins in 10 matches whereas Multan Sultans won six matches out of the 10 games they played.
MS won their previous two matches in the league stage against Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators and they have peaked at the right time.
Match Prediction: Lahore Qalandars will enter the contest as slight favorites against Multan Sultans.
