Peshawar Zalmi will lock horns against Quetta Gladiators in the 25th match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League 2023 at the Pindi Club Ground, Rawalpindi on Wednesday. The Babar Azam-led team has won four matches out of the seven they have played and they are currently in fourth position in the standings with eight points.
On the other hand, Quetta Gladiators have won two out of the eight games they have played and their hopes of qualifying for the playoff stages are hanging by a thin thread.
The Gladiators were able to break their five-match losing streak after a thrilling win against Karachi Kings in their last match by four wickets. Martin Guptill had played an unbeaten knock of 56-ball 86 to help his team chase down 165.
Meanwhile, Peshawar Zalmi won their previous match against Lahore Qalandars by 35 runs. Saim Ayub was the star performer for PSZ as he had scored 68 runs at the top of the order.
When these two teams had met earlier in the season, Peshawar Zalmi had won by four wickets.
