Salem Spartans will lock horns against Madurai Panthers in the 16th match of the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League at the SNR College Cricket Ground, Coimbatore on Monday.
Salem Spartans have got off to a poor start as they have lost both of their matches so far and they are reeling at the bottom of the points table.
On the other hand, Madurai Panthers have made an impressive start in the tournament as they have won three out of the four matches they have played. Thus, they are currently at second place in the standings.
Salem Spartans could only manage 146-9 in their last game against Lyca Kovai Kings. A lot of their batters got off to starts but could not convert them into substantial scores.
Furthermore, the opposition chased down the score inside 17 overs and they will need to come up with a better performance with both bat and ball to register their first win of the competition.
On the other hand, Madurai Panthers had won their last match against Dindigul Dragons convincingly by seven wickets. The MP bowlers did a fine job in restricting the opposition at 122-9 and then chased down the score comprehensively.
Match Prediction: Madurai Panthers will enter the contest as favorites against Salem Spartans as they are in top form.
