India’s vice-captain for the ODI series, Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the ODI series against West Indies. Jadeja is reportedly suffering from a niggle in his left knee and he is doubtful for the three-match series. Rahul is recovering after undergoing surgery for sports hernia in Germany. The right-hander had missed the England tour and the T20I series against South Africa due to the same and he now faces a new challenge to be fit for the T20I series against West Indies.
Rahul was expected to lead in the series against the Proteas but he was ruled out due to a groin injury and Rishabh Pant had led in his absence.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav has been given a green signal by the National Cricket Academy to take part in the T20I series after recovering from the hand injury.
