Indian forward Devendra Murgaonkar has joined India Super League side Goa FC on Thursday. The 21-year-old’s transfer fee was undisclosed, but it was said that the player signed a three-year contract.
The player stated how it is a great opportunity to join the league leaders for last season and that he will make sure to make full use and take advantage of a dream come true.
Ravi Puskur, the Director of Football FC Goa, stated that the player had performed consistently at the Goa pro league thus a good reason to have him on the team.
“Devendra is a player who has consistently performed at the Goa Pro League and has racked up goals, season after season. He’s a clever player who drops to assist in the build-up and also finds himself smart pockets of space.” Ravi Puskur said.
Meanwhile, NorthEast United have signed Belgian defender Benjamin Lambot, their third foreign acquisition so far.
The 33-year-old joined from Nea Salamis Famagusta in Cyprus where he had 23 appearances from last season.
Before then he played for Cercle Brugge for 5 years between 2015 and 2019 making close to 100 appearances albeit he never featured for the national team.
