Kerala Blasters FC forward Kwame Peprah has said they will do everything possible to make the club’s fans happy in the upcoming season of the Indian Super League. Peprah has kicked off the new season on a high, scoring a hat-trick against ISL champions Mumbai City in the Durand Cup opener.
The Nigerian striker also provided an assist against Punjab FC in the next game. Peprah was sidelined for the Kalinga Super Cup due to a groin injury and he also ruled out from the latter part of the ISL. The forward said it was great to be back on the field as it was not easy for him to stay off it.
“It’s a great feeling to be back on the field because it’s not easy to be off the field. I know what I want to do for the club, and I’m very excited to do whatever I can to help the club,” Peprah said in an interview with the Kerala Blasters FC media team.
Meanwhile, Kerala Blasters FC has parted ways with players like Dimitrios Diamantakos, Marko Leskovic, and Jeakson Singh. However, they have added strength to their squad by roping players like Noah Sadaoui and Alexandre Coeff.
“Ever since I joined this club, it hasn’t mattered who goes out or who comes in. As long as we are in this uniform, we are one big family. During the pre-season in Thailand, everything has been going well with both new and old players,” he said.
Speaking on the pre-season tour in Thailand, Peprah said, “The intensity is increasing every day. It’s a new environment with a new coaching staff, but as a professional player, I’m ready to adapt to any system. So far, everything is going well for me, and I must say this pre-season has been very, very good.”
Meanwhile, the Yellow Tuskers finished the ISL 2023-24 season in fifth place with 10 wins in 22 games and a total of 33 points and they will look to come up with an even improved show.
