With the sports calendar crumbled by the COVID-19 pandemic, many India golfers have resorted to other activities showing how they missed the golf course.
One of them who is lucky to get a space is Rahil Gangjee. Recall that Indian had one his memorable days on the course when he came from behind to win the Panasonic Open Golf Championship in 2018.
He is putting the knowledge into the head of who he called a future star. Could this mean that the COVID-19 had allowed Rahil to unearth the next golfing star? Time will tell.
He revealed that he has been spending the last couple of days playing golf with his friend’s 10-year-old son, and he is showing a lot of promise. According to him, after two intense sessions, which lasted four hours with him daily, he may be a star in the making.
Apart from that, the star also spends some time in Kolkata with his Mom, who he said is a company which is down to great food!.
While noting that sitting without doing anything will lead to weight gain, Rahil said he trains and work to keep fit, adding that there are a lot of Netflix for him to watch as well.
With the dreaded pandemic leading to indefinite cancellation of sporting events, many athletes now have time even to be close to their loved ones who had never had such opportunity for a long time due to the busy calendar.
With the authorities combating the spread of the virus, it could be said that the comforts of their homes provide the sanctuary and haven for them.
One of them is seasoned globetrotters, Shubhankar Sharma, who noted that it is a good opportunity to spend time at home with his family and catching up on what they have missed.
