UPB goes International – Hosts event in Tiger Palace Resorts, Nepal

UPB Fight Club will end its Season 2, with a highly looking-forward-to event at the Tiger Palace Resorts in Nepal. The anticipation is palpable in the atmosphere where people are anxiously waiting for the Indian vs Nepalese boxing action, which will be on display.

This event puts in contention some young prospects going at each other to build / establish their supremacy in the said weight category. Moreover, the India vs Nepal Fights are generating enough enthusiasm in the air so as to make it a Country-vs-Country event.

The main fight over 8 rounds in Welterweight should be a belter as Rahul would want to redeem himself and his record which suffered a telling blow at the hands of Sagar in August last year. Suresh is coming on the back of a win against Vishwas in October 2022 and would want to continue winning. Rahul Singh boasts an impressive record of 5 wins, 1 loss, and 0 draws. He is known for his lightning-fast crosses and footwork that leaves opponents struggling to keep up. However, he will be facing a tough opponent in Suresh Pasham, who has a record of 3 wins, 3 losses, and 0 draws. Suresh is a skilled counterpuncher with a strong right hook that has the potential to end the fight in an instant.

As the Co-main Fight, in the super featherweight division, Umesh Chavan with a record of 1 win, 1 loss, and 1 draw will be taking on Varun Phartyal, who has a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. Umesh is known for his relentless style of boxing, with a strong focus on body shots that wear down his opponents. Varun, on the other hand, is a powerful puncher with a deadly hook that saw him beat Satnam, the WBC Featherweight Champion in Oct last year.

In the flyweight division, Laxman Rai from Nepal with an Amateur record of 20+ Fights at the National level, will be making his professional debut against Shubham Chauhan from India, who has a record of 0 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. Laxman is a skilled technical boxer with lightning-fast hands that have seen him dominate in the amateur ranks. Shubham, however, is a tough competitor who is known for his endurance and ability to take a punch.

The welterweight division will also see Anuj, a debutant with an Amateur record of 11 wins and 4 losses, take on Sumit Kumar with a record of 0 wins and 3 losses. Anuj is a hard-hitting boxer with a deadly cross that has seen him knock out several opponents in his career. Sumit, on the other hand, is a defensive fighter with a focus on counterpunching.

In the featherweight division, Sulabh Mali from Nepal, with an Amateur record of 20+ Fights at the National level including International Fight at Asian level, will be making his professional debut against Vinay Verma from India, who has a record of 0 wins and 4 losses. Sulabh is a dynamic fighter with a focus on footwork and movement, while Vinay is a brawler who relies on his strength and endurance to outlast opponents.

In the battle of Debutantes at the Super Middleweight division, Kuldeep Singh from India with an Amateur record of 26 Fights (19 Wins-4 Losses-3 Draws) at State and National levels will go up against Manoj Tamang from Nepal, with an Amateur 11 Fights (7 Wins-4 Losses) at the National level. With both fighters being new to the professional ranks, it is difficult to predict how this bout will play out.

The first bout of the evening will see Arav Rathi, with a record of 0-0-1, take on Gaurav with an Amateur record of 29 Fights (18 Wins-11 Losses) at State and National levels, making his professional debut, in a welterweight bout. The records slightly favor Rathi, but Gaurav is an unknown entity and could surprise everyone with his skills.

Overall, the UPB Season 2 Nepal Edition promises to be an exciting event, with 7 bouts featuring some of the best professional boxers from India and Nepal. The odds may be in favor of some boxers, but anything can happen in the ring, and the audience is in for a treat on this eventful Night.
