Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer are two of the most consistent players of the Tennis World. Nadal and Federer both have 20 major titles under their belt and they have dominated the game for more than 15 years now. Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal has now joined Roger Federer in an elite record. Nadal became the second player after Roger Federer to spend 900 consecutive weeks in the top-100 rankings. Thus, the Spaniard left players like Jimmy Connors, Feliciano Lopez, David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco and Ivan Lendl behind him. Federer has spent 1084 consecutive in the top 100.
In fact, Nadal had made the cut into the top 100 rankings back in April 2003 when he was only 16 years old and he went on to become one of the best players in the world. Nadal has been ranked inside the top 100 rankings since April 2005 as he has come up with consistent performances throughout his career.
In fact, Nadal has had to go through some tough times due to injuries but at no point in time his rankings reached above 100. Furthermore, Nadal had also become the youngest player to break into the top 100 back in 2003.
Nadal had broken into the top 50 at 17 years and six months and became the fourth youngest player to achieve the milestone after Michael Chang, Aaron Krickstein and Bjorn Borg since 1973.
Meanwhile, Nadal is currently at the second place in the ATP rankings behind Novak Djokovic with 9850 rating points under his belt. The 34-year old has also confirmed his participation for the Australian Open 2021 which is expected to begin from February 8.
