Dabang Delhi K.C talisman Naveen Kumar has rated his performance against Gujarat Giants as higher than his performance against U Mumbai and Puneri Paltan.
Kumar bagged another Super 10 as he scored 11 points against Gujarat Giants at the Sheraton Grand, Whitefield on Sunday.
This was the third consecutive Super 10 for Naveen Kumar as he has started the season in style. However, Dabang Delhi K.C could not register a win against Gujarat Giants as the match ended in a 24-24 tie but Kumar feels it was his best performance of the season thus far as Gujarat Giants defense is strong. In fact, the raider scored a crucial point in the buzzer raid for Dabang Delhi K.C to help his team bag three points against Gujarat Giants.
Kumar has been the most successful raider of the ongoing season of the PKL 2021 as he has come up with 39 successful raids and he has scored 42 raid points, which is the most so far in the season.
“I rate my performance against Gujarat Giants higher than the last two because Gujarat’s defense is considered to be very good. And, I got a Super 10 against them. Yes, our team missed out on a win tonight, but the performance has boosted my confidence. I am looking forward to performing better in the coming games,” said Naveen Kumar.
Kumar is a livewire on the mat and it is difficult for the opposition to defend against him. Courtesy of his brilliant performances so far in the tournament, Dabang Delhi K.C is the solitary undefeated team of the season. Delhi has played three matches out of which they have won two while one has ended in a tie. Ergo, Delhi has 13 points under their bag and they are currently atop in the standings.
Delhi Dabang K.C will look to continue their good show and Naveen Kumar is going to play a key role in the success of the team.
Dabang Delhi K.C will next lock horns against defending champions Bengal Warriors on Wednesday.
