U Mumba is in the fifth position in the points table with five wins and three losses in eight matches (not considering their match against Telugu Titans on Wednesday). Meanwhile, Patna Pirates have struggled to get going in this season. They have won three, lost four, and tied two matches and they are currently in the ninth position in the standings with 23 points.
On the other hand, U Mumba had won their last game against Bengal Warriors by 36-25. Rinku and substitute Ashish scored eight points apiece for the team in their 11-point win.
Patna Pirates won their previous match against Gujarat Giants by 34-28. Sachin scored 13 points while Rohit Gulia added seven points for the team.
