Royal Challengers Bangalore talisman batsman AB de Villiers has picked his all-time IPL XI in which he selected MS Dhoni as the captain of the side. Virender Sehwag and Rohit Sharma are the openers in the team. Sehwag scored 2728 runs in 104 IPL matches at a splendid strike rate of 155.44. AB had played with Sehwag for the Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals)
Rohit has amassed 4898 runs in 188 IPL matches at an average of 31.6 and a strike rate of 130. AB picked his RCB captain Virat Kohli to bat one change. Kohli is the leading run-getter in IPL with 5412 runs from 177 matches. Interestingly, the former South African captain picked himself to bat at number four.
AB has amassed 4395 runs in 154 IPL matches at an impressive average of 39.12 and a staggering strike rate of 151.24. England’s talisman all-rounder Ben Stokes bats at number five. Stokes has scored 635 runs in 34 IPL matches and he has scalped 26 wickets.
MS Dhoni is the wicket-keeper of the side and bats at number five. Dhoni has scored 4432 runs in 190 IPL matches. Dhoni has led CSK to three IPL titles and he is one of the most successful captains in the tournament.
Ravindra Jadeja and Rashid Khan are the two spinners in the side. Jadeja has scored 1927 runs in 170 IPL matches and he has bagged 108 wickets. Rashid Khan has snared 55 wickets in 44 IPL matches at an impressive economy rate of 6.55.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kagiso Rabada and Jasprit Bumrah constitute the pace battery. Jasprit Bumrah, who is one of the best death bowlers in the IPL, has picked 82 wickets in 77 matches. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has taken 133 wickets in 117 matches at 23.71.
AB de Villiers’ Proteas teammate Kagiso Rabada has snared 31 wickets in 18 IPL matches. Rabada had claimed 25 wickets in IPL 2019 for Delhi Capitals.
