Bangladesh will face India in the third ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram on Saturday. The home team had taken an impregnable lead of 2-0 in the series after winning the second game by five runs.
Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz were brilliant for the Tigers as they added a fine alliance of 148 runs when their team had their backs against the wall. Mahmudullah scored 77 runs whereas Hasan scored a magnificent hundred to help his team post a par score.
On the other hand, India’s top order could not get going as Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli were both dismissed cheaply. Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel played good knocks while Rohit Sharma played a valiant knock of 51 runs. But the Indian skipper’s efforts went in vain as India couldn’t close the game.
Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Sen, and Deepak Chahar have all been ruled out of the third game, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid had confirmed. KL Rahul will lead in Rohit Sharma’s absence.
India haven’t been at their best with either bat or ball against the Tigers in the first two matches and they will look to bounce back stronger in the last game of the series.
Match Prediction: With momentum on their side, Bangladesh will enter the contest as favorites against the Indian team.
