Delhi Capitals will face Rajasthan Royals in the 34th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Friday. Delhi had come up with a dominating performance against Punjab Kings in their previous match despite Covid-19 concerns and that win must have added a lot of confidence to their players.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals had also won their previous match game against Kolkata Knight Riders by seven runs. Jos Buttler had continued his dream form as he scored his second century of the season whereas Yuzvendra Chahal had bagged his maiden five-wicket haul in the IPL.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals had ticked all the right boxes against PBKS in their last game and they would want to continue the good show. The spinners had delivered the goods as the trio of Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav combined to take six wickets and conceded only 45 runs in their 10 overs.
Furthermore, Prithvi Shaw and David Warner had put on a carnage as they added 81 runs in the powerplay overs, which is the franchise’s highest score in the IPL history. However, DC’s middle order is a cause of concern for them as Rishabh Pant, Rovman Powell and Lalit Yadav haven’t scored consistently.
The same can be said for Rajasthan Royals as Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer have done the lion’s share of the scoring whereas the rest of the batters have failed to come to the party.
