The 10th edition of the Indian Super League concluded with Mumbai City FC clinching the title after beating Mohun Bagan Super Giant by 3-1 in the summit clash at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, Kolkata on Saturday.
After Jason Cummings scored in the first half for the Mariners, Jorge Pereyra Diaz, Boris Singh and Jakub Vojtus scored for the Islanders in the second half to help their team clinch their second ISL title.
Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s Dimitri Petratos bagged the Golden Ball award for providing seven assists and scoring 10 goals in the 23 matches he played in the season. Ergo, Petratos helped MBSG in their League Shield title and taking the team to the final of the tournament.
Kerala Blasters’ forward Dimitrios Diamantakos won the Golden Boot award for scoring 13 goals in 17 matches for the Yellow Tuskers.
Mumbai City FC goalkeeper Phurba Lachenpa got the Golden Glove award for 42 saves and keeping nine clean sheets in 22 appearances for the club. Thus, he played a key role in taking the Islanders to glory.
Mumbai City FC’s forward Vikram Partap Singh bagged the Emerging Player of the League award for scoring eight goals and providing four assists in 23 matches he played in the season.
