Chennaiyin FC has signed the services of Shield winner Kiyan Nassiri from Mohun Bagan Super Giant ahead of the next Indian Super League. This is the sixth signing for the Marina Machans in the off-season.

The 23-year-old has put pen to paper for a three-year deal, which will keep him at the club till 2027. Nassiri played 68 matches for the Mariners, playing an instrumental role in the ISL trophy win in 2023 and the ISL League Shield win in 2024.

“We are excited to welcome Kiyan Nassiri to this great club. When you score a hattrick on your debut against your biggest rivals, it says everything there is to be said. He’s a great boy and we have no doubt he will quickly become a fan favourite,” manager Owen Coyle said about the signing.

“I am extremely excited and grateful to be a part of this amazing sea of blue. Bringing all my humility and respect for the management, coaches and fans. Looking forward to bringing with me, my endless passion for the beautiful game and my spirit to win with and for my team,” Nassiri said.

We are confident that he will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goals at the club,” commented Ekansh Gupta, Vice President of Chennaiyin FC.

“It’s always an honour and privilege to be a part of Chennaiyin FC. A club that has won 2 ISL Championships and other achievements. I am looking forward to working with Chennaiyin FC to achieve the goal of the club to win games and trophies,” Wilson expressed his excitement at joining the Marina Machans.
