Mumbai City FC Signs French Midfielder Jeremy Manzorro on Free Transfer

Mumbai City FC has completed the signing of French midfielder Jeremy Manzorro on a free transfer with a valid contract up to the end of the 2024-25 season. The Frenchman brings with him experience and skills to one of the most successful teams in the Indian Super League.

In his time at Jamshedpur FC, the 32-year-old forward scored six goals and laid on two assists in 24 outings. His signing for Mumbai City FC might bring in much depth and quality to their midfield.

Manzorro’s professional senior football journey began with Stade de Reims in France. During this time, he got a chance to play for many European leagues, especially in Bulgaria with PFC Slavia Sofia, Lithuania with FK Žalgiris, and in Kazakhstan with Tobol and Astana. He also boasts experience in the top European competitions of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League. His accolades include triumphs in the Lithuanian Cup, the Kazakh Cup, and two league titles enabled by this success in Kazakhstan.

“I have enjoyed my time in India thus far and am excited to stay another season. Mumbai City FC is the most successful team in the ISL, and it does have a history of winning trophies,” Manzorro said.

“Looking forward to meeting my new teammates and working under Coach Petr Kratky, I am very excited about this new chapter in life within the bustling city of Mumbai and helping the club achieve success.”

Head Coach Petr Kratky couldn’t agree more as he weighed in on the addition of Manzorro. “Jeremy is very skillful and has a deep understanding of the game—that is visible in the way he plays. His experience will be imperative for the team, and he figures to play a key role in the squad,” affirmed Kratky. “We have been persuaded about his qualities during the course of the previous season, and I am excited to have him as a part of it into the upcoming season.”

Manzorro’s signing by Mumbai City FC comes at a time when the team is building on some good performances in the ISL. With a competitive spirit and title wins under their belt, Mumbai City FC hopes to leverage Manzorro’s expertise and leadership on the field.

Versatility and multiple international league experiences of this French midfielder will complete the side to build Mumbai City FC through the new season. Fans can look forward to how Manzorro presence’s will go on to influence the dynamics of this setup and further build on glory in the ISL.
