Rajasthan Royals’ young batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has admitted that he has learned a lot while playing with Jos Buttler. The southpaw has added crucial alliances with the Englishman in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2023 for RR.
Jaiswal and Buttler added 98 runs in the team’s previous match against Delhi Capitals with the former scoring a quickfire knock of 60 off just 31 balls. Furthermore, Jaiswal and Buttler had put together 85 runs for the opening stand in the team’s maiden clash of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Jaiswal has thus far scored 125 runs in three matches of the season and he has provided good starts to the team along with Jos Buttler. In fact, RR’s Twitter handle recently uploaded a video in which Jos Buttler was providing some crucial pointers to Yashasvi Jaiswal in the practice session.
Yashasvi Jaiswal told PTI, “In the powerplay, as Jos always says, we have to have good intent and cricketing shots. I just try and follow that. I keep learning a lot from him, different shots and having different mindsets which have really helped me to improve my game as a player.”
Jaiswal added: “Also, seeing him outside of the game, how he goes about in his life and what he does… I learn from all that and put it in my lifestyle to improve my career.”
On the other hand, Jos Buttler has scored 152 runs in the three matches for Rajasthan Royals and he has been batting at the top of his game.
Meanwhile, Jaiswal was in red-hot form in the domestic circuit. The left-hander scored 315 runs in five Ranji Trophy matches and also scored a century in the Irani Cup. The southpaw from Mumbai added that scoring consistent runs in the domestic circuit gives him a shot in the arm.
“One hundred percent, it gives me amazing confidence of playing in different conditions. I have been in different situations so many times and I have drawn confidence from it to go out and express myself,”
